Workshops for Life

Every year we present series of quality workshops related to art and literature to raise awareness while giving basic understanding and skills, and practical sides of the subjects to the public in general. This year, the festival presents series of workshops as follows:

1. Writing Workshop with Gramedia Pustaka Utama Part 1

2. Writing Workshop with Gramedia Pustaka Utama Part 2
"Eksplorasi Tema Novel Remaja" (Indonesian Series)
Writing Technique
Time: Friday, August 4, at 10.00-12.00

3. Workshop with The Jakarta Post
"Basic Skills in English Writing"
Time: Thursday, August 3, at 15.00-17.00
 
Registration Fee: IDR 100,000 (maximum 15 people)
 
 
4. Travel Writing Workshop by Shivaji Das
"Socially Conscious Travel Writing"  (English Series)
You love travelling. Then why not share your travel experiences with a wider world?  But is there any new place left to discover? Are there any new things left to write? How can a travel writer survive in these times of TripAdvisor and Google Image Search? A workshop that will open a new horizon by Singapore's up and coming author.

5. Creative Workshop by Lala Bohang

This workshop will guide participants to make an artistic book different from conventional books sold in book store by a talented and published author and artists

6. Poetry Workshop by Aan Mansyur
"Understanding Poems" (Indonesian Series)
This workshop focuses on understanding poetry and poetry reading by one of Indonesia's hottest poets
Time: Saturday, August 5, 2017 at 10.00-12.00

7. Workshop with Unmasked
"Finding Your Voice" (Indonesian Series)
This workshop is to introduce the art of spoken word poetry as a mixture of poetry writing and performing skills. Through this workshop UNMASKED will assist participants as they dig deeper within themselves to find their personal flavors and ideas, tools which provide the building blocks used to express their inner voice, and encourage them to share their voice to an audience.
Time: Saturday, August 5, 2017 at 13.00-15.00

8. Workshop on Performance by Low Kok Wai
"Expanding Your Stage Performance" (English Series)
A workshop by Brunei-based artist and lecturer to enhance your performance on stage.
